Web design for interior designers.
People hire an interior designer for taste. Your website is the first room they walk into, and most studio sites are a template with the taste stripped out: a slider, a stock icon set, three columns of services. I build sites that feel like your rooms: one strong photograph, real proportion, and a project page that shows how you think.
What an interior design website has to do
A homeowner or a hotel developer decides in seconds whether your work is for them. That decision is made on photography and restraint, so the homepage opens on a finished room at full width and gets out of the way. Services come later, in your words; the about page shows the person, because interiors are bought from people.
Project pages tell the story your clients tell each other: the brief, the house as you found it, the plan, the materials, the finished rooms. Before-and-after where you have it. Press and testimonials as they appeared, never paraphrased.
How I build it
- Typography chosen for your studio, not the theme default: a display face and a text face that match your material palette.
- Photography at full resolution, served as modern formats so pages stay under two seconds on a phone.
- A grid with air. Forty to sixty percent of every view is empty, the way a good room is.
- Enquiries that qualify themselves. An AI assistant, trained only on your site, answers the ten questions every prospect asks and books the first conversation.
- Search that works quietly. Structured data, fast pages, project pages that rank for the project and the city, no marketing copy anywhere.
I design and code the site myself, in Next.js, with no theme underneath. Foundation sites are live in three to four weeks.
What it costs
Fixed price, agreed before we start. Most interior studios sit at the Foundation tier; studios with a large portfolio or an e-commerce side choose Elevation. The investment section on the homepage shows both.
Questions people ask
- How long does an interior design website take?
- Three to four weeks for a Foundation site once the photography is in: homepage, about, services, up to eight projects and contact. Larger portfolios take six to eight weeks.
- Can the site sell products too?
- Yes. A curated shop for objects, fabrics or your own designs can sit inside the site with the same typography and photography, instead of a separate storefront that looks like every other one.
- Do you work with Instagram?
- Your Instagram feeds the site where it helps, not the other way round. The site is the place your best work lives in full size and in order; Instagram is where people find it.
- Do you work internationally?
- Yes. I am based in Amsterdam and build for studios across Europe, the UK, the US and the Gulf, remotely.
- What about SEO for interior designers?
- Project pages are built to rank for the project type and location, the studio gets structured data and a sitemap, and every page is fast. Nothing on the page reads like it was written for Google.
